Corona defines the topics
The global situation not only provided the structural and technical framework for the events, but also defined the focus of the content. In view of the increased demands during the pandemic, Human Resources International is particularly confronted with questions of rule-compliant work practice, self-organisation and motivation, education, and communication at a distance. The necessary expansion and process-oriented structuring of this area will probably find its place in every company in the long term – even after Corona.
Because: requirements for work under pandemic conditions are also requirements of a modern working world – and thus the central topics and questions of the functional area. Everyone benefits from the structures and solutions that are developed due to the current situation, especially the area of international assignment management (Global Mobility). Daniel Zinner took up this contemporary approach in the series of events and discussed it with experts and interested parties from the sector.
Debate with an international focus
In addition to fundamental questions about working at a distance, the participants discussed approaches to solutions that can be applied concretely to the international sector; these included the implementation of the EU Posting of Workers Directive, matrix organisations in an international context and mobile work abroad.
The session was rounded off by the data from the study “Working in the Corona Pandemic”, which was carried out jointly by the DGfP and the Fraunhofer Institute. These and other exciting specialist topics invited the participants and speakers to exchange views and to take a comprehensive look at relevant issues in the HR sector.
At the pulse of the times in terms of content
Conclusion: The participants benefited from the successful cooperation between the DGFP and Daniel Zinner, especially from the powerful network and their professional expertise. All topics of the hour were taken up and discussed in detail, as well.
The outlook is clear, the message unambiguous: sustainable changes in everyday working life and necessary restructuring must be accepted as challenges – they are the forward-looking topics of the industry. In this respect, we are pleased to act as a driving force in our field with our cooperation.
